Last night I hung up some of my artwork at 2nd Street Cigar Lounge and Gallery. Five of my pieces will be there for the next two weeks. I'm very sensitive to smoke, so maybe that was a bizarre decision on my part, but yay for exposure ;-)

ScorpioCity and The Worst is Over
Posted by Unknown
I love supporting and helping my friends however I can. Their success is my happiness, my success (especially if I get to utilize my artistic skills). So when I was asked about helping create set pieces/ambiance for a friend's event, of course I was in (The Steaz).
I created a few coral/rock-like display objects for both events, as well as decorated a pillar that was used to display crystals.
It was hilarious because I have a small honda civic, so my car was too tiny to transport anything. I also had never used spray foam insulation before, but knew that was the look I wanted and the material I needed to use. I learned a lot about spray foam ;-)
After ScorpioCITY, the coral pieces were used in a music video for the Steaz as well. It was a whirlwind few days with Thanksgiving Thursday, the Christopher Walken art show in San Francisco Friday, and then the music video on Saturday in Los Angeles for the Steaz's song The Worst is Over. Now I can sleep.
I even got to be in the music video while I was helping out!

Christopher Walken was a Lion Tamer
Posted by Unknown
I participated in a Nicolas Cage themed art show over the summer, so when I heard there was a Christopher Walken themed show coming up in San Francisco, I had to participate! I had learned that Christopher Walken was a lion tamer in a traveling circus when he was younger, so boom...that was my inspiration!
The Walken Situation: An all Christopher Walken Art Exhibit
Christopher Carny
on 3/4" pine, I sketched his likeness using charcoal and pastels
then I applied fabric to create his wardrobe
built out the hat and covered in faux leather
cut a whip in half and adhered it to the piece

Earlier this year I helped out a friend and played a zombie in a music video...the video release party happened last night (unfortunately I couldn't attend). Here are some photos from the shoot :-) as well as a link to watch the video!

The Nicolas Cage Party - Los Angeles
Posted by Unknown
Time for the show!
"The World's most intense and amazing Nicolas Cage art show will be coming to Los Angeles. Originating in San Francisco, the power of this show just couldn't be contained. With such an overwhelming response, we HAD to take this art event to Los Angeles.
What is the Nicolas Cage Party??
It is an art show that will be showcasing all original artwork of Nicolas Cage. We are taking submissions and we are looking for amazing, talented, interesting and off the wall interpretations of Nicolas Cage.
This is going to be the most crazy underground art happening you will find in Los Angeles and it exclusively will be for one night only! So dont miss out! The media was all over the San Francisco show, including the Huffington Post and Time.com, so needless to say, this one is going to be BIG!"
